Augsburg: Augsburg: Fr. Ayad Yako met Fr. Andrzej Halemba and discussed “Our Way to God” initiative

Fr. Ayad Yako, Syriac-Catholic priest met Fr. Halemba. Fr. Ayad is responsible for pastoral care for Syriac-Catholics in South Germany. He serves in Augsburg, Munich, Nuremberg, Ulm, Karlsruhe, Stuttgart. He celebrates two Holy Masses on every Sunday. Every year he makes nearly 40.000 km to outreach the faithful from Syriac-Catholic community scattered in the region. God’s mercy leads this prist to adopt the attitude of the Good Pastor and go at the search of ships, even to the periphery. He brings forgiveness and comfort to people wounded by sin and accompany them in achieving full Christian maturity. He will launch now the catechesis based on "Our Way to God" book and hopes it will bring blessing to his parishioners and their children. For the mission he carries he found it useful to be able to use a bilingual handbook, especially, that the second generation of migrants finds it difficult to read in Arabic, which is their mother thongue. For this reason he also appreciates that this publication is available as an audiobook. We need to give others the possibility of hearing the Good News. How people are to believe in Jesus of whom they have never heard? This is the work of priest, who have the duty to proclaim the Good News following the missionary command of the Lord. When  people hear the proclamation of the 'mighty works of God', they can convert to the Lord.
