Father Christoph Matyssek FSCB

Father Christoph Matyssek is  rector of the Afro-Asian Institute (AAI), serving communities of oriental background. He gained experience as a priest of the Arab-Christian communities in the Holy Land. He studied history, political science and Islamic studies in Erlangen and Berlin and joined the Priestly Fraternity of the Missionaries of Saint Charles (FSCB) in 2004. After studying philosophy and theology, he was ordained a priest in Rome in 2011. In September 2012 he and his brothers moved into the Servitenkloster in Rossau. Father Matyssek is also university chaplain for the Catholic university community of the Archdiocese of Vienna.
