On Saturday the 15th of April 2023, The Greek-Melkite Parish of Saint John Chrysostom youth gathered, with Archimandrite (Abouna) Shafiq for a coach trip to Ely and Cambridge for the day organized by Christelle Choueiry and Sarah. The day started off with a visit to the remarkable Ely cathedral, which is the third longest medieval cathedral in England with beautiful stained glass windows, and a 19th century painted ceiling, followed by a visit to King’s College Chapel, then by a lunch at The Anchor Pub. After lunch, we walked around the different colleges and around the town, then ended out day with a punting tour experience and finally a short walk to get some desserts as well as souvenirs to remember the lovely and eventful day before our trip back to London.
